Potable water network of the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah realised with aquatherm green
The name Hilton stands for luxury, elegance, and exclusivity. These attributes also characterise the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, which opened in 2022.
The five-star hotel sits on the man-made island of "The Palm" off the metropolis of Dubai, offering guests spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf from over 600 rooms and suites. With a sprawling built-up area of approximately 100,000 square metres, it provides ample space for luxurious accommodations and amenities. The hotel's construction schedule was demanding, placing special requirements on the building materials and systems, including the drinking water network.
Within 940 days, the construction, expansion, as well as the installation of building services and external utilities were completed. The client expressed satisfaction with the time-saving measures implemented, which greatly facilitated the construction project. The aquatherm green piping system, which was selected for the hotel's entire drinking water network, impressed with its special connection technology: thanks to plastic welding, a fast and secure connection is created, which shortens the installation time. The pipe and fittings were briefly heated using specialised tools, facilitating their seamless joining process.
In addition to the time factor, the quality of the products used and their durability were particularly important to the client. aquatherm green also scored points here, because like all products from aquatherm, it is made of the corrosion-resistant and recyclable material polypropylene, which is characterised by its durability. The outstanding chemical resistance, minimal pipe roughness, and exceptional impact strength make this pipe an advantageous choice. In addition, it is odourless, tasteless, and completely free of heavy metals and toxic chemicals.
The Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah project utilised approximately 255,260 aquatherm pipelines and fittings, with a requirement of about 92 kilometres of aquatherm green pipelines. Alongside the local aquatherm partner, Alsahoo Trading Co., the project also received support from the aquatherm planning department "Consulting & Service" based in Attendorn, Germany.
