Challenge:
The Dacia Arena football stadium in Udine (Italy), which was called Stadio Friuli until 2016, is the home stadium of the Udinese Calcio football club. Built in 1976, it was renovated between 2013 and 2015. Among other things, a turf heating system made of aquatherm blue was installed on approximately 9,000 square metres.
Solution:
The turf heating complies with the current UEFA regulations for stadium infrastructures and ensures that the football pitch can be used in adverse weather conditions, such as snow and frozen ground. In addition, the use of turf heating on football pitches provides a significant improvement to the turf and increases the regrowth of the grass.

The Wanda Metropolitano is a football stadium in the Spanish capital Madrid. The facility was built from 1990 to 1994 with an initial total capacity of 20,500 spectators. With the renovation works from 2011 to 2017, the venue was transformed into a pure football stadium with 67,703 covered seats and stands up to the edge of the pitch. This makes it the third largest stadium in Spain. Since 16 September 2017, it has been the new venue of Atlético Madrid football club.
Solution:
As part of the refurbishment, a new fresh water supply was also installed. For this, aquatherm supplied the suitable product with aquatherm green, which ensures hygienically perfect drinking water quality.

A former, historic paper factory was converted into an event location: After extensive renovation measures, the 2T in Lindlar (North Rhine-Westphalia) now not only contains rooms for meetings, seminars and celebrations, but also a craft beer brewery, an ice skating rink in winter, and a climbing and bouldering hall.
Solution:
For the air conditioning of the climbing and bouldering hall, the aquatherm black surface heating and cooling system was used exclusively. The client chose aquatherm blue for the cooling of the ice rink and the complete piping in the technical centre.
